The Blessed Virgin’s sacred color of light blue will act as a constant lighthouse through the use of smart lighting.
Her new translucent spires and roof employ technology to control Her luminance values.
Through all of the day and night Our Lady’s blue beacon, Her lighthouse function will comfort and guide the city. Notre Dame becomes the Beacon of the twenty-first century.

Authorities consider the fire an accident, possibly as a result of restoration work at the global architectural treasure that survived almost 900 years of tumultuous French history but was devastated in the blaze on the second day of Holy Week.
The miraculous unfolds in Paris. With Our Lady powering this creation, the Beacon of the 21st Century will be completed before the 2024 Olympics.
A sense of completion is a fitting manner to mark everything that came before the fire, the stark beauty of Her constantly illuminated blue spires.
The bell towers of Notre Dame become spires for the first time in Her 875 years. Protruding black metal mullions structure the spires as the eternal tribute to the cathedral’s gothic structure and history.
Inspired by a 2017 visit to the shrine at Lourdes, France, a devout Jim Belleau prayerfully offered to organize seminars to explore the meaning of the Virgin Mary’s 18 appearances in 1858 to a 14-year-old peasant girl, Bernadette Soubirous, “unless you have something better for me.”
Belleau believes that “something better” is coming to pass.
